In honor of Halloween, I present to you a Corpse Bride cosplayer!  This posting inspired by having recently watched the Corpse Bride with a friend who had never before witnessed it.  I'll just let that sink in.

Really, it is a wonderful cosplay, and if anyone shows up to my Halloween parties dressed as the Corpse Bride I will give them a hug.

Star Wars - Storm Troopers and a Jawa

I have a friend who is a big fan of Star Wars.  She fan girls over our local troupe of storm-troopers and Darth Vader, and carries a messenger bag with Star Wars imagery   She's also really cute.  Why she is still single I have no idea.  Really, she's cute, nerdy, and awesome.  Anyone want her number?

Anyways, have a couple of storm-troopers and a Jawa cosplayer.  I wonder if the Jawa is a really, really short person, or a child.  If it's a child then those parents are doing it right.

Halo - Masterchief

I can't understand how I have not posted any Cosplay of Halo before now.  I loved Halo back when I was in high school.  In fact it was the reason I skipped a cumulative month during my freshman year.

That is one sweet energy sword.  Although my favorite weapon is either the rocket launcher (BOOM!), the battle rifle or Ghost.  Yes, I'm counting the Ghost as a weapon.  If you have a problem with that feel free to stand in front of my Ghost and stay very, very...still.

World of Warcraft - Blood Elf

I tried to find a panda cosplay to honor the launch of Mists of Pandaria, but I had no such luck.  Instead you are stuck with viewing a blood elf World of Warcraft cosplay.

Honestly not a bad trade off.  Chubby, silly looking panda, or a hot blood elf.

Minecraft - Creeper Cosplayers

Creepers.  Horrible beings that sneak up to you in Minecraft.  And now...real life.

Harry Potter Cosplayers

Man, I miss Harry Potter. Is the smaller one in this picture supposed to be Ginny Weasley?  I think so, and she pulls it off well.  I may have had a crush on Emma Watson (What 14-17 year old guy didn't) but I thought Ginny was just plain cute.

My Little Pony - Rainbow Dash

I've said it before, I don't understand the My Little Pony fad, but it is really entertaining.

Here we have the character Rainbow Dash (totally not a gay name) posing in a...well, she's posing.  Let's just leave it at that.

Tekken - Bob

I don't know why Tekken is such a fun game.  All that you do is fight.  Although the fighting is pretty epic.  Okay, I just figured out why it's such a fun game.

And the ability to play as an overweight man who can kick buts is pretty badass.

Bob, a Tekken character specializes in Freestyle Karate, and is grossly overweight.

Did you know that Bob is 27 years old, and can be made to look like a power ranger?  The image of an overweight power ranger almost makes me giggle.

G.I. Joe - Snake Eyes

You know what I like most about Snake Eyes?  His outfit.  He looks just like a freaking ninja, capable of killing not only in the traditional, clean, quiet method of a ninja, but also in a bloody, violent painful method.  He is just bad ass.

Iron Man - Tony Stark

Do you know how amazing it would be if you were Tony Stark?  Pretty darn.  Lot's of money, genius level intelligence, dashing good looks and a nifty flying suit.

Granted, this Tony Stark isn't particularly dashing, and he probably does not have boatloads of money, but what he does have is an amazing, subtle cosplay.  I really want to know how he got his chest to glow.

Spawn - Gunslinger 2.0

I said in a previous post that I need to read the comic Spawn.  I still haven't.  Shame on me.  Hopefully this new image of the Gunslinger will remind me.

Minecraft - Creepers

I had the chance to play Minecraft a few weeks back.  It was fairly fun, but not exactly my cup of tea.

Why?  Well, I'll make you a list, which I will call my mini Minecraft review.

An entire world that I can explore?  Check, I like that.
I can build really cool stuff?  I like that as well.
The multi-faceted plot that gives me a reason to spend time on a game?  Nope.  Now, while I don't need great plot to play a game, if I want to play it more than once, and *enjoy* it at the same level, it needs a good plot.

Non-the-less, Minecraft is still fun, creative and unique.  And I had lots of fun shooting Creepers.  Creepers such as these excellent cosplayers.

Johnny Depp Characters

When you think about it, Johnny Depp has played a lot of different roles.  And these cosplayers are fantastic at depicting them!  I've had the privilege of meeting them, and they do an excellent job of staying in character.

I can't even mock this, or say anything amusing.  These guys (and gals) are just too good.  Something I can only ever dream of pulling off.

Here we have Sweeney Todd, Mrs. Lovett, Captain Jack Sparrow and the Mad Hatter.  What a group!

Portal

I just bought myself Portal 2, and I am *loving* it.  I just got to the part where spoiler happens, and more spoilers.


So in honor of the game, have some cosplayers of Portal.  I think my favorite part of this picture is the radio.

Doctor Who - Sister Jatt

The Nun cats in Doctor Who I find frightening and wonderful at the exact same time.  I HAVE VERY COMPLEX EMOTIONS!  Ahem.  Have a great Sister Jatt Cosplay from the episode "New Earth".

To me, the fact that I have mixed emotions about these characters is a sign of good writing.  It means they are complex, and not shallow, one sided characters like one finds in Twilight THE BEST BOOKS EVER, PLEASE DON'T KILL ME TWILIGHT FANGIRLS AND MIDDLEAGED WOMEN WHO USE IT TO LIVE VICARIOUSLY!

Pokemon - Pikachu

One interesting thing about cosplayers are the women who like to be inappropriate.  Which, as a card holding man, I am legally required to say I fully support.  That being said, have a busty Pikachu cosplayer.

Again, as a card holding man, I am legally required to say that this woman is a hot cosplayer.  It doesn't matter that she isn't an accurate Pikachu, what matters is she has a ruffly short skirt on and very visible cleavage.

Also, since I have a girlfriend, I am legally required to state that the previous stated legal statements do not necessarily reflect my own personal views.

My Little Pony - Two Bronies

I don't understand the current trend of "Bronies".  Not to be confused with brownies.  Mmmm...brownies.  Excuse me.
*Makes brownies*.
I'm back.  Bronies are typically adult men who are obsessed with My Little Pony, and spend much of their waking time watching the episodes, creating art relating to My Little Pony and even pretending to be a pony.

Why?  Because apparently that is the best use of their time, instead of, oh, I don't know....ANYTHING ELSE!

Today is national Star Wars day!  May I be the first to wish "May the fourth be with you."  Er, excuse me...the force.  And if you don't get that joke, go and look at a calender.  Idiot.

And really, you will need the force if facing a pair of these guys.  I just peed my pants by looking at the picture.    I would probably run away screaming like a little girl if I saw them in real life.

Death Note - Ryuk

I always liked Ryuk in the Death Note mangas.  This particular Ryuk is just plain creepy and or scary.  I can't tell which.  It's freaking cool, but damn, I'm freaked out.

Death Note was the first manga I ever read, which I did while roasting coffee on my back porch several summers back.  Yes, I roast coffee.  I know, I'm cool.  Get over it.  Or don't, and rave about how cool I am, ego boosts are nice.

Hellboy - Dashing Karl Ruprecht Kroenen

Okay, okay.  I'll admit it.  I'm only posting this because Karl Ruprecht Kroenen from Hellboy has such amazing fashion sense.

Lord of the Rings - Sauron

The detail on the armor is crazy.  I'm frightened to think of how much it cost.  But Sauron probably just had a bunch of little orc slaves make it for him.  Poor little orcs...

Full Metal Alchemist - Alphonse

Forgive me Father, for I have sinned...I have not watched Full Metal Alchemist until this week.  I have also not read the manga.  *flees from the wrath of God fans*

In my defense, I'm really enjoying it!  The plot is good, the art is good, the animation is good.  In short, it's all good.
